How does progressive tier billing work?
Identical to Stalwart's fair progressive model, at 25% to 28% lower rates: each bracket is billed at its own rate. For example, a 600-mailbox deployment pays Tier 1 (€1.50 per mailbox per year) on the first 499 mailboxes and Tier 2 (€1.25 per mailbox per year) on the remaining 101 mailboxes.
Do aliases, domains, tenants, or mailing lists count toward my mailbox total?
No. Only user and group mailboxes are counted. Every license includes unlimited client domains, unlimited tenants, unlimited aliases, unlimited mailing lists, and installation on an unlimited number of servers under your hostname domain.
Can I use SharpMailserver with fewer than 25 mailboxes?
Yes! The Community & Starter Edition is free forever (€0) for up to 10 mailboxes. And our smallest Enterprise subscription (25 mailboxes) is just €37.50 per year total (approx. €3.13 per month), giving you full Enterprise features and room to grow.
When is Premium Support included?
Enterprise subscriptions of 150 mailboxes or more include Premium Engineering Support directly from iqmeta GmbH in Germany (business-hours response SLA and prioritized fixes) at no extra charge.
What happens if my mailbox count grows mid-cycle or if I cancel?
Existing mail flow is never interrupted. You can add mailboxes mid-cycle with prorated billing and zero restart. If you cancel, the server cleanly reverts to Community mode with zero data loss.
